Havsglóð (2004) is the debut album from Knút, originally released under his full name Knút Háberg Eysturstein. A nine track collection of atmospheric and beautiful songs, written in a simple and melodic way and clearly inspired by the nature and weather of the Faroe Islands; a small group of islands in the North Atlantic ocean where rain, clouds and wind are familiar phenomena. The music on the album ranges from acoustic singer/songwriter pop to electric rock and even includes some electronica and post rock elements. The lyrics are written in both English and in the native Faroese language.
